Summerfest 2017 – 50th Year Anniversary – Featured Guest


In anticipation of its own festival concert season, Milwaukee’s annual Summerfest has begun unveiling notable performers set to take the American Family Insurance Amphitheater stage for the 50th anniversary. The Summerfest 2017 program will go June 28- July 2 and July 4 -9.


First Set Of Summerfest 2017 Headliners Revealed

On Nov. 14, the forthcoming variation’s of the first two headliners were announced, confirming performances by the Red Hot Chili Peppers on June 28 and Pink on July 2.


Summerfest to Bring Red Hot Chili Peppers Outdoors During Their 2017 Tour

For the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Summerfest concert comes at the tail end of a lengthy North American tour which started in January.


With most of the trek taking place during the wintertime and spring months, the Summerfest appearance marks one of the few great opportunities to view the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform outdoors in 2017.


Pink Maybe Setting Up for Huge Return in 2017

Similar to the RHCP fan base, Pink fans also have been itching for a follow up to her 2012 multi-Platinum-selling smash hit, “The Truth About Love.” An extensive world-wide tour followed from 2013 to 2014, but the singer has been notably absent from the tour circuit since.



The May launch of the single “Just Like Fire” for the “Alice Through the Looking Glass” soundtrack ignited rumors of an impending album from Pink, the singer has yet to confirm any details on the album end. Regardless, stay tuned, as it’s likely her Summerfest gig won’t be her only live appearance in 2017.


Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers to Celebrate their 40th Anniversary At Summerfest

Commencing in April, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will be celebrating their 40th anniversary with tour stops around the nation, including a set of performances in Milwaukee during Summerfest, along with special guest Chris Stapleton.


Additionally set to perform at Summerfest are country stars Luke Bryan on June 29, and Zac Brown Band on July 1, who’ll be equipped with new music from its latest album, “Welcome Home.”


Note that access options may fluctuate across Summerfest tickets, but commonly, guests are granted access to the surrounding areas at the Henry Maier Festival Park.
