Kendrick Lamar At Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg

Kendrick Lamar performed Friday night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg for an American Express sponsored show that was live-streamed over Facebook Live.


Midway through the performance, Lamar let fans to come up on stage and freestyle beats supplied by the Wesley Theory, Lamar’s backing band. “New York City has always been a tough mother fucking crowd, so you better bring your shit,” Lamar said after one amateur bombed out.


Yet, a set of rappers pulled out of the bunch were able to impress Lamar, with one even freestyling alongside his hero for a couple of verses.


After giving fans a chance to showcase their abilities, the live-streamed part of Lamar’s concert concluded with his Grammy-winning hit “Alright.”
