For devotees of major Rock and Roll Hall of Fame groups like Green Day, chances to see a concert at the likes of say Webster Hall in New York or House of Blues Boston don’t come around frequently, if ever. But this fall, Green Day is making it possible.
In expectation of the launch of the group’s 12th studio album, “Revolution Radio,” a small amount of North American shows has been scheduled at venues that are certain to offer Green Day fans one of the most exceptional of concert experiences.
While it’s probably a more prevalent Green Day tour will be plotted for 2017, for now, the following cities will have the pleasure of hosting the group this September and October:
Sept. 20 – The Pageant, St. Louis
Sept. 21 – Aragon Ballroom, Chicago
Sept. 23 – World Cup of Hockey, Toronto
Sept. 24 – Fillmore, Detroit
Sept. 26 – Newport Music Hall, Columbus
Sept. 28 – Starland Theater, Sayreville, N.J.
Sept. 29 – Tower Theatre, Philadelphia
Oct. 1 – House of Blues, Boston
Oct. 3 – 9:30 Club, Washington, D.C.
Oct. 8 – Webster Hall, New York
Oct. 17 – Palladium, Los Angeles
Oct. 20 – UC Theatre, Berkeley, Calif.
“Revolution Radio” is set to drop on Oct. 7, while the first single, “Bang Bang” was released on Aug. 11 and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Take a look at the track’s official lyric video below.
