Florida Georgia Line To Collaborate On The Chainsmokers Debut Album

Florida Georgia Line

Music Genre-busting country duet Florida Georgia Line are pushing the musical envelope even further with another crossover collaboration, teaming up with the red hot pop act The Chainsmokers.

The Grammy-winning electro pop hit group announced their track with FGL on their Instagram, disclosing the newest track, “Last Day Alive,” will be featured on their debut record, Memories … Do Not Open, due to release on April 7th. The Chainsmokers’ news comes on the heels of massive, multi-platinum hit like “Closer,” featuring Halsey, and “Do Not Let Me Down,” and will additionally include a song with Coldplay.

“They gave us a call and it kind of had to be done within 48 hours,” Flordia Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley told Rolling Stone of working with the Chainsmokers. “So we spent all day and all night on this track and just put everything in it like we always do.”

Kelley also shares that he’s optimistic the duet will play some shows together in the near future.

“Last Day Alive” is the latest in a string of projects that fall outside the lines for Florida Georgia Line. FGL has also teamed up with Nelly in the pst – who guest starred on a remix of their monster debut single “Cruise”.
