Chris Rocks’ Total Blackout Stand-Up Tour

Chris Rock

Chris Rock will embark on his first full scale world tour in nine years when the comedian hits the road on his Total Blackout stand-up tour in 2017.

“Tonight, I am announcing that I, Chris Rock, am going on tour,” Rock said in a video Monday outside Los Angeles’ famed Comedy Store. “The Total Blackout tour is coming to your town in 2017… First time in nine years, haven’t done it in awhile. Been a little busy, You know, writing Pootie Tang 3 and everything. But hey, it’s time.”

In October, Rock suggested that he would go out on tour after it was shown that he had reached a deal to bring two stand-up specials to Netflix, the comedian’s first specials since 2008’s Kill the Messenger. The very first of two specials will be filmed during the Total Blackout tour.

Tickets for Rock’s tour begin going on sale at The King Of Tickets on December 7th.

Lovers who desire a preview of Rock in action can take a look at Rock’s pair of shows tonight at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Improv.
