To date, big names performing include Bon Jovi, Katy Perry, Steve Aoki, Miley Cyrus, Jay Z and Ne-Yo and most have played shows (or will play shows) in support of democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
The objective of the concert – which is the headlining event for the national Parade to the Polls campaign – is to support Chicago’s youth. The nonprofit organization SocialWorks partnered with Virgin Hotels, where the concert will take place, to deliver an evening of performances from Chicago based artists including Eryn Allen Kane and alternative rockers Twin Peaks and Taylor Bennett.
“This election is very important, a chance for new leaders and new opportunities to emerge,” Chance stated in a recent press article. He also expressed his pride in partnering with so many great organizations, like Boost Your Voice and TurboVote “to give everyone a voice in the democratic process and encourage people to vote, both locally and nationally.”
Following the performances, Chance and SocialWorks will lead the crowd to the closest polling station to actually live out what it indicates, to Parade to the Polls.
