Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan delivered an exuberant rendition of her 1978 blockbuster hit “I’m Every Woman” on Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Khan’s performance of the 40-year-old hit was in part to honor the ABC hit drama series Scandal, which aired its season finale Thursday evening. The show’s cast members, which includes stars Kerry Washington and creator Shonda Rhimes, sat on Kimmel’s couches before Khan had taken the stage.

The final season of Scandal coincides with Rhimes’ career move to Netflix after a megadeal was inked by the star to take her Shondaland production company to Netflix.

In 2016, Chaka Khan was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ‘s Class of 2016. She was among 19 finalist nominated.

Sticking to the Kimmel performance, Khan posted clip of backstage footage onto her Twitter.
