Brooks & Dunn Provide Sneak Peek into ‘Reboot’ Collaborative Album

Broosk & Dunn

Roughly a decade after their latest release as a country duo, Brooks & Dunn released the third single off of their new album, “Reboot”. This single features Jon Pardi in a new and improved version of “My Next Broken Heart”. This song, when it was originally released nearly 30 years ago, became the duo’s second ever number one on the charts.

Expect no different with this “rebooted” version! The crisp country beat along with the alternations of Pardi and Brooks & Dunn’s vibrant voices creates a perfect heartbreak ballad. In addition to the added voice on the track, the familiar fun and upbeat sound of the 1991 version is still prominent. With that being said, although this version has been “rebooted”, old fans of Brooks & Dunn are sure to appreciate this version just as much. The message of the tune remains intact, and this unconventional take on what is classified as a love song is a surefire way for anyone to find the good in having a potentially sub-par love life.

Some of the best modern-day country stars are also being featured on this album. The 2019 Grammy Album of the Year award winner, Kacey Musgraves, is featured on “Neon Moon”. Musgraves also helped in co-producing this track. What’s interesting about this song, is that the original gives the listener a certain sense of hope. The song is about losing a significant other but feeling comforted by the light of the moon. Imagining this song as a duet with Kacey’s soothing voice as the female in the story has the potential to entirely transform this song into something spectacular. Other stars that appear on various songs on the album are Luke Combs (“Brand New Man”), Kane Brown (“Believe”), Thomas Rhett (“My Maria”), and Ashley McBryde (“You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone”).

The array of voices and overall styles throughout this album are promising. ‘Reboot’ is going to be a culmination of some of the greatest voices, both young and old, in country music. With a total of 12 songs making up the track list, ‘Reboot’ combines some of the duo’s best hits in a new and innovative way. The final product, which is set to be released on April 5th, is expected to be nothing short of a masterpiece!
