In addition to the headliner Def Leppard, this summer tour includes Tesla and Poison.
Fans will undoubtedly be scooping up Def Leppard tickets as soon as they go on sale. Across North America, these three groups will be shredding stages from April to June in 2017.
When these bands head out on the summer tour, the hits will be served up often and early. All three of these groups have an extensive song catalog that have been on repeat for decades. Here is a fast rundown of what this trio brings to the stage on this highly anticipated summer tour.
Def Leppard released a self-title album in 2015, proving to theirfans that they still have a lot left in the tank. Also, Classic Rock magazine rewarded the band by choosing it as Album of the Year for their publication. The group toured in 2016 as well, but there were some problems with lead singer Joe Elliott”s health.
Def Leppard has released statements explaining the ill-fated circumstances, which is the key reason for the speedy turn around on this particular tour. They wish to perform at the highest level once again to show fans their talent. Mostly geared toward stadiums during the summer tour, Def Leppard is also scheduled for a couple of festivals along the way. A festival is an essential change of pace for bands that go on tour. The scheduling and guidelines are a bit less strict at a festival, so expect Def Leppard to save their greatest for those dates.
“Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Rock of Ages” are two hits that are bound to excite fans. Def Leppard shows are famous for their high-octane style, and enthusiasts can anticipate quality light shows and pyrotechnics when the group hits the stage.
Arena rock crossed the rock scene in the 80s, thanks in large part to bands such as Poison. Led by Bret Michaels, this heavy metal band from Mechanicsburg, PA was one of the best in its prime. From 1986 to 1990, the group had three successive albums go Platinum.
Between creative differences, drug addiction and infidelity, times changed in the 90s. Nonetheless, Bret Michaels patched up any differences that the band had in the first group and in 1999 reunited. Since that point the band even made new music, gone on numerous tours and has celebrated its 25th anniversary. Poison is back again for this 2017 summer tour and fans are excited.
The Sacramento-based hard rock band finishes the trio for this Def Leppard summer tour. Tesla had a powerful decade as a group in the 80s and 90s. After a number of years off they eventually reunited.
The time off must have helped the band in a big way. In 2000, the band hasn’t looked back since, and performed at a sold out Arco Arena in Sacramento. Tesla has released three records, and gone on numerous tours in the previous fifteen years. Moreover, Tesla toured during the aforementioned tumultuous run last year with Def Leppard.
Tesla has a long solo run to prep for this particular summer tour, so they should be prepared to rock and roll in 2017.
