Stevie Nicks will keep busy with a solo tour during the closing days of 2016, as Fleetwood Mac’s break from the touring circuit continues. Tour update as of 12/5/2016: The tour will now extend into 2017 with a new leg that continues from February-April.

In an interview with the New York Times, Nicks had this to say about the tour:

“I just woke up one morning and said I have two years off before Fleetwood Mac comes knocking on my door [for another tour],” she said. “Why would I want to sit around and do nothing?”

Though she’ll be alone on the road solo, the Stevie Nicks Tour won’t be without some notable support, as The Pretenders are tabbed as the opening act, immediately making this tour highly anticipated.

The Pretenders have not toured in years, and had not had a release since 2008’s “Break Up the Concrete,” but in conjunction with the announcement, the group disclosed that the songs on their completely new record, “Alone,” will be part of their set-list.
