One of the things I have always liked about music, is the variety.  If you don’t. like dance, there is indie, if you don’t. like indie, there is pop, if you don’t. like pop, there is classical, if classical makes your head hurt.. there are 150+ other genres out there!  This blog is for the classic rock and roll lovers and I know that there are a lot of you out there.

Even if its only just a few songs you learned about from your Uncle or your Dad, most people out there like a LEAST one song related to this genre.  In 2016 there are going to be a lot of concerts revolving around rock and roll as well as classic rock n roll so its definitely something you need to check out below!

Bruce Springsteen

This man IS rock and roll.  If you’ve never heard of Springsteen, you are in the wrong section!  Some of my all time favorite songs are:  Dancing In The Dark, Dead Man Walking, Fire and Pink Cadillac!  A little bit about Bruce:  “Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and humanitarian.

Bruce Springsteen

He is best known for his work with his E Street Band. Nicknamed “The Boss,” Springsteen is widely known for his brand of poetic lyrics, Americana, working class and sometimes political sentiments centered on his native New Jersey, his distinctive voice and his lengthy and energetic stage performances, with concerts from the 1970s to the present decade running over three hours in length.”

Eric Clapton

“Eric Patrick Clapton, CBE (born 30 March 1945), is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream. Clapton has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time.

Clapton ranked second in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and fourth in Gibson’s “Top 50 Guitarists of All Time”. He was also named number five in Time magazine’s list of “The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players” in 2009.”  Clapton might be getting up there in terms of age, but he is still rocking on and does have tickets available for concerts in 2016.

Some of his most memorable hits have been Tears In Heaven, Wonderful Tonight, Layla, Change the World and more.  Tears in Heaven is a pretty heart breaking song about his son Conor.  Something to check out.

The Eagles

As of right now the Eagles don’t have any tours or concerts planned, but that’s probably because Glenn Frey just passed away in January.  Nonetheless, they DO deserve to be in this list.  Keep looking out for concert dates in the future in case they do decide to go on tour because they are a band you should see live and in person!

Rolling Stones

To say I love The Rolling Stones is an understatement.  One of my favorite videos of theirs is a live studio presentation for Wild Horses where they all sit around and hear the song after the played it.

They look kind of surprised at how good it sounds!  A couple other amazing songs by TRS is Angie of course, Gimme Shelter, Sympathy Of The Devil, Paint It Black and Satisfaction.  Upcoming tour dates can be found on The King Of Tickets, as well as a tribute band for the Rolling Stones.
