Sara Evans started recording again in 2017 with the single Words, focusing mainly on songs written by women. In 2018, she’ll go on the road with CMT’s Next Women of Country for fifteen shows for the All The Love Tour.
Starting February 12th in Nyc, the All The Love Tour will take Evans to theaters and casino showrooms across the nation, sweeping through the Northeast prior to heading to the Deep South. Joining Evans on the tour will be “Love Triangle” vocalist RaeLynn and “Fight Like A Girl” performer Kalie Shorr, both of whom have been part of CMT’s Next Women Of Country. Tickets go on sale Dec 22nd at 10 a.m. local time.
Evans released Words this summer and has talked frequently concerning the lack of women on country radio, something Evans witnessed when she first started out. Now, she says, it can be almost impossible for female entertainers like RaeLynn and Kalie Shorr to have the same opportunities.
“I can’t even imagine it now,” she told Rolling Stone Country earlier in 2017. “Even when there wasn’t even an issue of men versus women on country radio, it was still unbelievably difficult to get them to add your records. It’s so competitive. I can’t even imagine being a young female country artist going out and facing not only the normal odds that are out there, but, ‘How are we going to get every country station in America to spin this song?'”
