Neil Young and Promise Of The Real have revealed their new video for the song “Children Of Destiny.”
The music video, directed by Neil Young’s Shakey Pictures, combines footage of recent political protests alongside patriotic imagery of American flags and Fourth of July barbecues.
“Preserve the land and save the seas for the children of destiny / The children of you and me,” Young and Promise Of The Real sing on their new single. “Stand up for what you believe / Resist the powers that be / Preserve the ways of democracy so the children can be free.”
The song was recorded in Hollywood, California’s inglorious Capitol Studios alongside his collaborators Promise of the Real – featuring Willie Nelson’s sons Lukas and Micah Nelson – and a 56-piece orchestra.
The rocker and Micah Nelson released the song via a Facebook post.
“Children of Destiny” is available now on iTunes and other streaming music sites. We are unsure if this song will be released by itself or with supporting tracks.
