Snoop Dogg and improbable Celebrity Roast BBFs Martha Stewart will team for Snoop’s & Martha Dinner Party, a VH1 series where the lifestyle queen and gangsta rap OG host celebrity friends for food, beverages and unscripted conversations. The show will premiere fall 2016.
“At our dinner party, we’ll exemplify America’s fascination with food, amusing and celeb,” Stewart said in a statement. “Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a brand new, different and really amusing way.”
“My homegirl Martha and I have a special bond that goes back,” added Snoop Dogg. “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our celebrity friends.”
Stewart and Snoop first met in March 2015 at Comedy Central’s Roast of Justin Bieber.
On Late Night With Seth Meyers, she declared that her high – happened by the rap icon by accident. “The secondary smoke is just as powerful,” she said, “so I was totally high by the time I got up to that microphone.”
Snoop has appeared on Stewart’s talk show, and the duo teamed for a spot on ABC game show $100,000 Pyramid.
The rapper is also executive creating a scripted, weed-themed comedy, Mary Jane, which premieres on VH1 sibling network MTV in September. In July, Snoop released his 14th studio album, Coolaid, which features the Wiz Khalifa-featured “Kush Ups.”
