On Friday, Billboard announced two more artists who’ll be honored at the organization’s annual ‘Women in Music’ award ceremony.
Earlier this month, Maren Morris was named New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. Leading the awards with her hit song ‘My Church’.
Meghan Trainor will receive the Chart Topper award for her accomplishments on Billboard’s music charts. Trainor’s debut single “All About That Bass” spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014. This year, Trainor released her sophomore record, “Thank You.” The record’s lead single, called “No,” peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and has been certified platinum.
Both Morris and Trainor will perform at Women in Music ceremony, that will take place in New York on Dec. 9 and air on Lifetime Dec. 12. Formerly announced award recipients include Madonna, Shania Twain and Andra Day.
