British electronic star Goldfrapp unveiled her new song, “Moon in Your Mouth,” from her upcoming record Silver Eye, out March 31st via Mute. The track is a mid-tempo dancefloor ballad with a steady drum beat and an atmospheric blend of synthetic tunes, over which singer-keyboardist Alison Goldfrapp presents a delicate but transferring vocal performance.
“Moon in Your Mouth” follows formerly released Silver Eye tracks “Ocean” and “Anymore.” The latter was also given a stunning video shot on the dramatic landscape of Fuerteventura, the largest of the Canary Islands.
Silver Eye indicates Goldfrapp’s first LP since the Tales Of Us in 2013. Alison Goldfrapp said she was pushed by the Silver Eye studio sessions and keyboardist Will Gregory into new creative spaces. “Often we react to things we’ve just done,” Goldfrapp said. “We like the spontaneity of not knowing. It’s only through the process that we start to figure out what it is. The fans who have stuck with us are the ones who embrace that idea and are excited by the thought that they don’t know quite what to expect next.”
