The long-rumored setlist of an upcoming U2 tour inched closer to becoming a reality on Christmas Day, as the group released a 37-second clip to tease their fans. Click here to see video.
While the “Songs of Experience” update had been anticipated, since it will be the companion album to 2014’s “Songs of Innocence,” the news of a 30th anniversary party for “The Joshua Tree” was new.
Released back in 1987, “The Joshua Tree” was U2’s fifth record and boasts some of the group’s most influential tunes like “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” and “With or Without You.”
U2 Possibly Planning Stadium Tour?
U2 will apparently be one of the headliners at the 2017 edition of Bonnaroo in June.
No stranger to leading arena tours, U2 last plotted such a venture for the award winning 360 Tour that spanned from 2009-11 and consisted of more than 100 shows globally.
Bono and Co. then continued to wait four years before returning to the road for 2014’s Innocence Experience Tour, which only contained arena shows, but was heralded for its wide-ranging stage displays and cutting-edge sound.
